A live chat tool is one of the fastest and handiest channels to get in touch with a company representatives, and more and more businesses implement these tools on their websites or apps. In a lot of ways it’s more convenient than using the traditional means of communication: phone or email. It combines advantages of both these channels without having most of their drawbacks.

Basically live chat software works like this: you add a code snippet into the code of your website (or install a plugin or app for your platform), and it makes a chat window appear. Your website visitors use this window to send you messages, and you reply to them from a special dashboard.

There are many tools on the market with different features, prices and design. Some of the tools are fit for big companies and corporations, some are perfect for small and medium sized businesses.

Real-time visitor list in Chatra

2017 has just started, but we already have some great news for you. We are happy to introduce the most requested feature in Chatra’s history – a real-time visitor list.

Now you can see your website visitors in real time and start chatting with them. Currently the feature is available for all our users (including those on the free plan), so that everyone get to test it. After January 16th it will only be available on the paid plan.

November Updates

There are some new features and improvements in Chatra we want to tell you about.

We released a Reports feature back in July, tweaked it recently and are now ready to present it. We collect chat stats — to be more specific, we show you how your agents were rated by visitors, how many chats with how many visitors you had during a certain period of time, and average response time. Data can be analyzed in a chart view, so you can easily track your team’s performance.
