July updates: 2FA, internal notes and updated notifications
Yakov Karda

We’ve added some new features to Chatra and would like to share them with you.

Two-factor authentication

We take all possible measures to keep your data safe, and we’ve added a new layer of security: two-factor authentication via email. You can enable this option in the Preferences section, and all agents in your account (including yourself) will be asked to enter a verification code when they log in.

Internal notes

Now agents can add internal notes in conversations. To add a note, click on the lock icon in the text input field, type your note, and send it as a regular message. The note will be highlighted in yellow in the conversation history and will be visible to agents only.

You can also switch to the note mode by pressing Ctrl + . (on Windows) or ⌘ + . (on Mac).

Separate notifications for chats and emails

You can now disable notifications about emails or use a different sound for them. This way, you can easily distinguish between online chats that usually require immediate attention and emails that can wait for a bit, especially when you are away from your desktop.

To customize your notifications, go to our updated Notifications section:

That’s all for today, but we have more updates planned for this summer. Stay tuned!
